Renting your home with Lumleys
I'm looking to rent a property, what happens next?
I've seen a home I am interested in renting, what do I need to do?
I’ve had a great viewing and would like to offer, what are the next steps?
If you find a property you like, you can express your interest and make an offer.
We will ask you to complete a reservation fee form, this will help us collate all the information we need from you. As the property agent will facilitate communication with the landlord on your behalf.
The next step is gathering references from your employers, previous landlords, and credit agencies. This is to assess your suitability as a tenant.
Once your references are cleared, you'll be asked to sign a tenancy agreement and other relevant paperwork. This outlines the terms of the rental agreement.
What happens when it’s time to move in?
Once you’ve passed referencing it's time to start thinking about your move! Before your move-in date, you'll be required to pay the first month's rent and the remaining deposit amount.
On the agreed move in date we'll be there to hand over the keys and make sure you're happy. We will be on hand to assist you with any questions or property maintenance issues that may arise.
